Thank you SO much for posting this! I work for a vet in Chesterfield and have seen how advertising has led many people to believe that online pet pharmacies are safe and that they are less expensive than their veterinarian. As the article states, not all online pharmacies provide products that are safe and they are also not always less expensive. Guarantees made by the product manufacturer are often only valid when the product is purchased from a veterinarian. Furthermore, the company that makes Heartgard and Frontline (Merial) doesn't even sell directly to 1-800-Petmeds. Pet Meds has to get those products through mysterious backdoor methods. Generally, buying from online pet pharmacies just doesn't seem like it's worth the risk.
